Welcome Home
A church that walks in love
and lives as children of light.
Our Story
Light and Love Church is shaped by a simple dream: families growing together in faith, every generation sharing the same Word, and Scripture being faithfully understood and lived out in real life.
We stand in the reality of Korean immigrant families, where language, culture, distance, and generational differences can easily scatter a family's faith. Our calling is to become a bridge so parents, children, and grandparents can hear the Word, worship, and keep the conversation of faith alive at home.
Our name points to our direction. We want to walk in the light of Christ and practice the love of Christ: connecting generations through the Word, building families through the gospel, and living the hope of God's kingdom in everyday life.
In the closeness of a small community, we share one another’s joys and struggles.
We help Korean and English differences keep from dividing a family’s faith.
We listen and speak together without hiding the questions of faith and life.
We value the process of learning and growing together more than appearing already complete.
What We're About
Every generation — children, youth, adults, and elders — meditates on the same passage every Sunday. Faith is formed at home, around the dinner table, by parents who are equipped to teach — not outsourced entirely to programs.
Sound preaching rooted in the full counsel of Scripture, including the Old Testament. We believe correct understanding of the Bible leads to correct understanding of the gospel — and that matters deeply.
The sermon has to survive Monday morning. Our teaching connects the ancient text to the real world our congregation actually lives in — work, family, doubt, joy, and everything in between.
We believe the Kingdom of God is already present and not yet complete. We don't just wait for heaven — we live and serve and proclaim as people who believe this world matters to God right now.
